Immaculate Floor Without Chemicals
When it comes to cleaning your floors, aside from the fact that it is time consuming and far from anyone’s idea of fun, it can also be annoying when it comes to cleaning products.
We always need to read the instructions, often wear gloves, provide ventilation, wonder whether we inhaled too much of it, when the smell will evaporate, when it’s safe for our children and pets to walk over it, etc.
Luckily, the market is beginning to offer better and better alternatives for this worrisome option and one of them is cleaning floors with the use of microfibre pads together with a steam cleaner.
Microfibre is synthetic fibre made of polyester or its combination with polyamides. The fibre is split in order to produce multi-stranded fibres that are then woven into a cloth, thereby producing a structure that is extremely effective in terms of retaining dirt and absorbing liquid.
- Here are some of its main advantages when it comes to cleaning performance:
- Its structure makes it capture the dirt and absorb liquid, not just move it to another spot.
- It leaves no lint or residue.
- It is positively charged, opposite to dirt and dust (negatively charged), so it acts as a magnet when in contact with them.
- Cleaning the microfibre itself is really easy – rinse it under warm water (add soap if needed) or just machine wash it (no fabric softener or bleach).
- It dries really quickly.
- It is not expensive and lasts for a long time.
Microfibre And Steamer Combined
Using a steam machine with a microfibre pad will have amazing cleaning results and all that without the use of any caustic cleaning chemicals. Steam loosens the dirt while the microfibre traps it, so together they make a perfect combination even with the most stubborn stains (with disinfecting effects as well).
All you have to do is operate your steam cleaner with the fresh area of the microfibre to wipe the surface. You will know that the pad is too soaked if it leaves wet marks, then just wring it out. When you see that its capacity for picking up dirt has been exhausted, namely it no longer removes grime, just change it for a clean one or rinse the one you use. It doesn’t get easier than that.
Just A Few Precautions
Using the microfibre has no limitations when it comes to surface, while the steamer requires your floor to be of sealed type, so that it can stand the heat. The only thing you should be careful of is not to burn the microfibre since it emits toxic gases when that happens, and do not let the paint, milk or glue get on its surface because it will be hard to get it out of the fibres. Always follow the instructions and precautions that come with your machine.
As you can see, this cleaning combo makes your floor cleaning as easy and safe as it can get.
